National parks

On a wildlife safari in the selected national parks or nature reserves, you have the opportunity to observe the Big Five, but also many other wild animals such as predators, even-toed ungulates, primates and birds from the car.

The Arusha National Park is only 30 km north of the city of Arusha, so it can be reached in 1 hour by car. If you want to go high, you can climb Mount Meru (4564 m above sea level). Kilimanjaro's little brother is located in the middle of the park. Lake Momella invites you to take a canoe trip, where you can observe nature and wildlife from the water. Hiking tours to the Tululusia waterfall or cycling tours are also possible

The special thing about this park is the small animal migration on the Tarangire River, which hardly anyone knows about.

It is also known as the Elephant Park. They frolic on the river bank with giraffes, antelopes, kudu, gazelles, zebras, buffalos, wildebeests, waterbucks and kudus. Closely followed by lions, cheetahs and leopards. Carrion left behind by the big cats attracts vultures and hyenas. Other animals such as warthogs, baboons and African wild dogs are at home in this park. The riverbed is also home to a number of hippos and many different species of birds.

One of the largest national parks in the world covers almost 15,000 square kilometers and its gates are 335 kilometers northwest of Arusha.

The park is best known for the "Great Migration", during which, for example, thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in the north. But the “big five” (leopard, buffalo, rhino, lion and elephant) can also be discovered, as well as many other wild animals and birds.

Infinitely wide savannahs with dusty red earth, but also lush green grassy steppes, the Serengeti shows itself in different facets.

“The most beautiful thing I have ever seen in Africa” was how Ernest Hemingway described the view of Lake Manyara from the edge of the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Manyara is a salt lake and lies at the gateway to the Ngorongoro Crater. Here there are lions that climb trees as well as countless species of birds and pink flamingos and pelicans.

Almost 80°C hot springs lie in the middle of the park.

It was the Masai who gave the lake its name. In the Masai language, Emanyara means milkweed

The national park with the associated Kilimanjaro mountain range is located in northeast Tanzania.

The tropical climate allows acacias, willows, ferns, lichens, mosses, palms and junipers to grow, which monkeys, birds and reptiles enjoy.

The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the highest mountain on the continent, Kilimanjaro.

Phenomenal nature, a wide variety of climate and vegetation zones and breathtaking views attract many guests to the mountain. At the moment, mountain lovers still have the chance to experience “Snow in Africa”

Tanzania ni nchi nzuri
