With ideal trekking conditions, Mount Meru is a true experience for mountaineers. On narrow paths, some with very steep descents near the crater rim, walking slowly and safely is required. The mountain can only be conquered on a single route and accompanied by a ranger to protect against wild animals. It is climbed in 3 stages within 3-4 days.
